Unique museum experiences

Many Berlin museums go beyond traditional exhibition concepts and present their contents in original and innovative ways. Unconventional staging, advanced technologies and creative interpretations are used to bring history, culture and visions of the future to life and make them tangible.

Deutschlandmuseum

The Deutschlandmuseum shows history in a completely new way. In its still short existence, it has already been awarded twice internationally: with the THEA Award, the so-called Museum Oscar, and recently also as "Europe's Leading New Tourist Attraction 2024". The immersive and interactive design is particularly praised.

Futurium

The "House of Futures" allows visitors to explore diverse perspectives on the future. It has become extremely popular since its opening: 2023 was its busiest year in terms of visitors, partly due to the expansion of the topic areas. The new theme year "Raw Materials" starts on 4 May with new interactive exhibits and workshops.

Samurai Museum

The Samurai Museum is home to one of the world's largest private collections of authentic samurai artefacts and combines them with interactive installations. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to experience live performances in form of excerpts from various Nō theatre plays or taiko drum pieces every 30 minutes.

Bonus tip - Khroma | New Media Art Center

A new art centre for digital art is located in the same building as the Lighthouse of Digital Art. Khroma explores artistic expression through modern technologies. Here, the multidimensional works even interact with visitors.
